Temporary Full-Time HR/Payroll Coordinator

Seeking a Temporary Full-Time HR/Payroll Coordinator to join our team
This role reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a key role in supporting our employees and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources & Recruiting
Complete pre-employment checks including references, background screenings, OIG, sex offender registry, CNA registry, and professional license verification
Screen and conduct phone interviews with candidates
Coordinate and complete new hire orientation and required onboarding paperwork
Provide guidance and review support related to employee disciplinary processes
Interpret collective bargaining agreements (CBA) and respond to employee questions or escalate as appropriate
Payroll & Benefits
Gather, review, and process all documentation required for weekly payroll
Serve as a resource for employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits
Provide benefits enrollment support and education to new employees
Collect, scan, and email payroll and HR forms as needed
Work with nursing travel agencies on onboarding and required documentation
Reconcile traveler hours for accurate invoicing
Qualifications
Prior experience in HR administration and payroll processing required
1-3 years of experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred, but not required
Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
Union contract interpretation experience preferred, but not required
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful

Hourly Rate: $35 per hour
